: Twelve persons were injured in a collision involving a state-owned bus and a mini-bus near Feroke here yesterday morning, police said. The injured had been rushed to the Medical College hospital, where the condition of four of them was stated to be serious, they said.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - State Auditor Betty Montgomery wants to replace the auditing agency fired in May by the embattled Bureau of Workers' Compensation. KPMG was fired when it withheld its opinion of the bureau's finances because of ongoing criminal investigations.

TOLEDO -- Tom Noe, the prominent GOP fundraiser at the center of an Ohio political scandal, will spend 27 months in federal prison for arranging a contribution scheme to raise money for the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign in 2004. Federal Judge David Katz sentenced Noe in a federal courtroom in Toledo Tuesday afternoon to 27 months on each of 3 counts, and ordered the sentences to be served

COLUMBUS (AP) -- Republicans say donations that former Toledo-area coin dealer Tom Noe funneled to President Bush's re-election campaign will be given to charity. A spokesman for the Republican National Committee says that will be the case as long as there aren't other directions from authorities.
