We've finished compiling sales data from Aug 2007 for the rarest and most valuable of all US coins. The highest price brought by a coin this month was an 1854-O Double Eagle graded AU-55 by PCGS, selling for $494,500. Next was an 1853 Quarter with arrows and rays, graded PF-66 Cameo by NGC, which sold for $276,000. In third place was a 1920-S Double Eagle in MS-65 PCGS, selling for $264,500.
