A 52-year-old Winnipeg coin collector has been accused by police of trying to pass off counterfeit Canadian coins as the real deal to a city coin dealer. Det. Kathy Antymis of the Winnipeg police commercial crime unit said Thursday that between April 10-11 the man allegedly sold four of the coins to a collector's shop, netting him $1,000 in the deal.
